What to Expect?
Children
If you have young children, you will find yourself in good company at Grace & Peace! There is a nursery available for children 0 – Pre K. You will see it to your left just before you enter the Regency Room. Walkers are separated from the non-walkers to insure no little fingers are squashed! The nursery workers will stay for a few minutes after the service ends, so don’t feel like you have to rush out!
Children who are Kindergarten through 2nd Grade can sit with their parents for the first part of the service. After the songs, they will be dismissed to Children’s Worship for crafts, snacks, and a Bible lesson!
Worship
We sing many older hymns set to a newer, singable, folk style of music. The richness of these texts walk us through joy and tribulations, always in the light of God’s great unfolding Redemption story. At Grace & Peace we believe that worship involves much more than immersing ourselves emotionally in a “feeling.” Worship involves us reminding one another that though the Gospel may be difficult to believe at all times, it is true!
Dress
Come as you are or come as you long to be! You’ll find the attire all over the map here, and you’re not going to be judged by what you wear. Here’s why: There are two approaches to ‘church’ attire. One says, “wear whatever, because you don’t have to get cleaned up to come to God; that’s what Jesus does for us.” The other says, “Bust out your ‘Sunday best’ because Jesus doesn’t leave us where we are, but cleans us up. So, let’s anticipate the glory awaiting us.” Both realities are gloriously true, so come as you are or come as you long to be. Just come!
